U-Haul Art Fair 2025

5 - 7 September 2025
Overview

Co-founded by Jack Chase, this fair reimagines what an art presentation can be. Conceived as “a viable alternative to arts presentation in New York,” it emphasizes flexibility, affordability, and accessibility—values that have become increasingly urgent in today’s cultural landscape. Rather than replicate traditional models, the fair proposes a framework that responds directly to the needs of artists, galleries, and audiences alike.

At the heart of this approach is the U-Haul Gallery, a nimble platform that “allows us to capitalize on the foot traffic and prestige of established, brick-and-mortar spaces” while resisting their limitations. More than a logistical solution, the U-Haul Gallery suggests a shift in perspective: that mobility and adaptability can open new avenues for connection. In this way, the fair not only challenges conventions of display but also reaffirms art’s capacity to move—across spaces, communities, and ideas.

Hexton’s presentation will include works by artists Terri Loewenthal, Jolie Ngo, and Rebecca Sharp.
